You must bring a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID such as a California driver's license, state ID, or passport. The documents to be notarized should be unsigned — do not sign them before the notary arrives.
California law caps notary fees at $15 per notarized signature. There may be a separate travel fee depending on your location and appointment time. We will always disclose all fees upfront before you confirm the appointment.

No — do not sign any documents before the notary arrives. The notary must witness your signature in person for the notarization to be legally valid. Pre-signed documents cannot be notarized.
